Crews from El Dorado and mutual aid crews from Towanda fought a range land fire early this evening.
The fire was fueled by strong winds.
This was a routine fire for the firefighters until a point towards the finish. That was when Towanda’s big truck encountered a sharp rock formation. Like a razor the rock sliced through two, on the same-side, rear tires.
This was but one example of the dangers of wild land fires exemplified by darkness.
El Dorado Fire thanks Towanda and Dispatch.
