It was dispatched out as a “small” grass fire, but 30 mph winds and gusts above that velocity, it wasn’t small for long.
The fire was in Rosalia’s district, but they summoned help from several other departments including El Dorado.
As you can see in the photos – homes and out buildings were endangered, but none were damaged.
Dryness and extreme winds make for a perfect rangeland fire formula. Everyone needs to be careful out there.
